Good Food Terrible Service 2009-04-16
Well the food was good, portions were small for the price they were charging. But the service left a Loooooottttt to be desired. We walked in for a quick lunch, the waiter turned up with the menu card almost 15mins after we were seated. Had to practically catch hold of him and place our order. the food took another 15-20mins, poor for the fact that we were only the second table in the house..
On the whole not worth the wait.. -

Stunted nostalgia, smelly plates, expensive but great food - this pretty much sums up my first impression about Moti Mahal, Tandoor Trail @ Sigma Mall on Cunningham Road in Bangalore.
The food is great tasting. Good quality fresh meats were used in the preparation. The spices are balanced and one gets to savour wholesome flavors in the cooking. Despite some of the other downers I will point out, chances are I will visit Moti Mahal again, if I want to indulge in a good non-vegetarian tandoori meal. (I just may need to carry my own plate!)

I've been to Moti Mahal quite a few times now and every dish I order here ourperforms previous delicious memories of the same place. This is the kind of place where you go thinking the food will be great and find it even better than what you'd imagined it to be though it's not the first time you're walking into the restaurant. The beauty of taste here is that it builds slowly - in that you start eating somewhere near "good" and end at it-was-amazing.
