We went with our 2 little ones, early around 8 pm yesterday, and were promptly ushered upstairs, where the 'families' are typically placed and given 'cold towels (?). We placed an order of 5 items, stating that the 2 for the kids should be brought on priority (Soup/Fried rice); Indeed, their dishes were given to us in 10 minutes...however, our own dishes (rotis, 1 subzi, 1 dal) took 45 odd minutes to come, after multiple reminders. The dishes were decent, but nothing to write home about. I requested a pickle and toward the end of my meal, found a little white, caterpillar like insect, in the pickle, and promptly asked for a manager ... who said 'it could be rice' and that 'he would look into it. Not sure when rice started growing scales on it.
Our kids were causing a riot (the upstairs staircase landing has a dangerous gap - a safety risk - that can be harmful for an unattended child)...
Overall, below average. We shelled out around 900 rupees for meal - slightly on the expensive side. We plan to try 'mast kalandar', around the corner next time.
