Dirty crappy place 2012-03-02
This place has nothing special to write about. Their kitchen is unclean and the masala dosa is just a sloppy mess. Probably the only place in Bangalore where they mess up the idly too(yeah you read that correctly, they cant even get the idly right). Horrible place.
Definitely not recommended. -

Value for money...good deal 2011-12-29
I have had dosa & idlis here and to be honest I was taken aback with the simplicity and taste. It is a typical Tamil taste which is what I was expecting when I walked in.
Being a small eatery, the decor and service isn't much to expect.
Food is very good and price is VERY cheap.
A true VFM...and a definite recommend if you are looking for Tamil style of snacking. -

I liked the sambhar here , as it was not sweet for a change,Idlis were fine , Onion uttapam half cooked and dosa okay , can be avoided. -

If you are looking for some good idli and dosa and are not much concerned about the ambience.. this is the place.
Nice, tasty and freshly made south indian food is available round the clock
The place is small but neat and serves delicious food. -

Very reasonable priced, their breakfast tastes awesome. One must try Raagi dosa there.
Serves basic idli, vada, dosas, upma. Since it starts really early, one can have hot breakfast there before heading to the office.
Coffee is not so great, though. -

Another Shop with Same Name!! 2010-12-04
Hi. I just happened to drop in at Madurai Idly shop on Indiranagar 80Ft Road. I am not sure if it belongs to the same chain or if it is differnet one with similar name.
But I must say that it is best avoided: as it is neither cleanly maintained nor the food is tasty. I have tried plain dosa. Nothing spectacular. Nor are the chutney/sambar.
Perhaps am carried away by the review that is posted about Koramangala outfit. -

Good South Indian Idlies 2010-08-16
Recently we brought packed Idlies and Malabar Purotta from this small eatery. I was surprised to taste good South Indian Tamil Nadu taste after a long time in a Bangalore Restaurant. The Idlies are original Tamil Nadu variety, Made out of Idli batter properly ground (not thari mix variety we get in Bangalore Restaurant) fermented and steamed and cooked in the traditional method. The side dishes Two kinds of Chutny and Onion Sambar were really good. (No strong Masala smell like the Karnataka Sambar.) Mushroom Masala Dosa 2010-03-23
Mushroom Masala Dosa, the name itself drew my attention to it and I decided to order one for myself. It was fantastic to say the least. Perfect blend of spices in the Mushroom filling and the quantity was wholesome. @ 40 bucks for that Dosa I think it is worth the money and highly recommended place @ 80ft road, Indira Nagar -

Place for a cheap and excellent breakfast 2010-03-23
I did my enginnering from Vellore - VIT and in our college canteen we used to get lovely masala dosas, I missed that taste for a long time untill I had a sunday breakfast at Madurai Idly Shop in Indiranagar,
We had couple of masala dosa's and kesari with it and everything was just yummy , the dosas tasted great with the allu in allu ki sabzi properly mashed and were not at all spicy , the sambar unlike the one which we get in shanti sagar here in bangalore was not at all watery , it was thik, less spicy and tasted great, there was another red coloured chutney which I have seen it mostly... read more -
