We visited Lumiere last weekend, both me and my companion were not all that hungry...but we wanted to try Lumiere.
Ambience: Very soothing, they do not use AC to make the place environment friendly. Tables are spaced right, giving enough privacy to each table.
Service: Very nice, when we ordered our main course, waiter asked for any special requirements from our side - less oil\butter etc and our spice level - this truely impressed us, as it shows that they do not keep their gravies ready ( like those typical red or brown curries)
Food:
1) Green soup - spinach and crushed corn soup - nicely done, simple taste - better to have the sop simple than adding all that artifical stuff in it. Rather my suggestion to mgnt would be to rather add some herbs or crushed garlic in it to give it some taste, it was otherwise a bit too bland (but worked fien for us)
2 - Oriental veg salad - This was a total put off...the potion was very small, and hardly anything and taste was also very funny. Nothing continental about it, and not even that the salad in itself was not worth
3 - Navratam Korma and stuffed roties - fresh vegies and rotis were delicious. But potion of vegetable was very small
4 - Wheatgrass juice with carrot - AWESOME!!
5 - Dessert - Kulfi - loved it!! very authentic, would have be great with Falloda, but anyway it was great
5 - Price - Extremely economical - All the above and we paid just Rs 700 (food - 600, tax - 75, rest tip) this actually turned out to be much cheaper than any food joint we would go for dinner.
I will definetly go back there
