  • Not really impressive

On my first visit to Bangalore I had jowar roti meals from Kamat Yatri Nivas in Minerva Circle...I simply loved the meal. It costed 90 rupees even in 2005. Since we love trying out new vegetarian options, we hitched an auto over to the Bull Temple Road Kamat Bugle Rock. There was a live carnatic concert happening. Even though we ordered for special meals, the waiter forgot to give us ghee-hollige, bajji, sweet etc. Was not impressed with the food in general!

  • Sakkat Oota!

I had been here for lunch on a Sunday for my birthday cum wedding anniversary treat. We were 7 of us. Our initial plan was to go to Maiyya's in Jayanagar, but on reaching there we found around 200 people waiting. They informed us in a not too friendly manner that we will have to wait for a minimum of 1 hour. This did not go down too well with our stomachs, so we decided to go to Kamat Bugle Rock.
And I'm so glad we did because Kamat Bugle Rock offers a totally unique experience. There is melodious classical music playing in the background, friendly waiters, unlimited and tasty food served

  • Mouth watering Breakfast

Best place to have Jolada rotti meals !!
Now what u might probably not know is tht this restaurant is worth the money when it comes to their Buffet breakfast. Costing Rs.70, it offers a wide and tasty variety. On the menu i found the following items,
Bread toast, Chow-chow bath, Akki rotti, pulav n raita, idli, Vada, Dosa, Shavige, watermelon juice, coffee.
The Shavige at this place beats it all ... just like the mom-made 'ottu' shavige - yummy.
U defn gotta give this place a try

  • YUMMY!!!

another addition to the long list of Kamat restaurants in the city, but this one is my favorite,by far...one could say im partial to it cos its close to my college but hey im allowed to have my bias.. :) i love love love their idli soaked in sambar plus the chutney they serve is one of the best i've had in recent times..their USP is however the traditional jolada rotti oota served exclusively on the second floor.. they start u off with traditional butter milk.the course is served on a plantain leaf, the hot rottis keep coming ur way till u've had ur fill..served with the original ennagai and kaalu... read more
