  • Can't get worse than this... 2012-04-27

Just back from this place after a lunch! The place was empty - no wonder after what we experienced later. The ambiance is average. The variety of choices was very limited for the buffet. We ended up ordering 2 non-veg platters bcoz of the choices (rather lack of it) in the buffet. The starters except one veg item were horrible; the main course even more. The only eatable item was gulab jamun. Never ever go to this place... Avoid under all circumstances...

  • Good lunch buffet 2011-07-17

I went to Jashn, RMV in early January to try out there weekday lunch buffet. It is a sit down buffet with a set menu, with only one or two options for each course. The veg starter (sheek kabab) was just average but my friend raved about their chicken lasuni kebab. Main course was aloo (and something) pulav which was decent and non-veg main course was mutton biryani which was pretty good. Dessert was amazing with melt-in-your mouth gulab jamun..I had three of them. Main course portions are HUGE! Each person gets a handi of rice and gravy..too much to finish. And it is unlimited. I suggest the manage... read more

  • Haleem!!! 2011-05-15

when i was a student at MS Ramaiah, Shiva came to me as a patient. In coversation i asked him what he did. i was pleasantly surprised to learn that this 24 year old was planning on opening a restaurant that served Nizami food, although at that time i had no idea what nizami food was.
My first visit there and i was blown away!!! The kebabs were juicy and succulent and the curries were rich and full of flavour. The service wasn't the best, but then again it had just opened.
But the piece d'resistance was yet to come, One day he introduced me to HALEEM!!!! Mother of God!!!! it was awesome!!!!

  • lots to improve! 2010-04-29

had been here on a weekday evening along with friends!
    1. There is no parking - or at least didn't seem to have any!
    2. Once we entered, the captain (maître d’ if you can call him!) seemed puzzled when we asked for a table for 7 (of course we did not have a booking)
    3. The seating has both normal tables as well low classic lounge type seating
    4. The table wasn't provided with water till we asked for it
    5. The starters were decent. But the fish dish was far from impressive. (we had to ask for individual plates for starters)
    6. The mains came in good quantity and was good

Food is really tasty and ambiance is good. But, given the price one pay service is not upto the mark.

  • Food (Main Course)needs to improve. 2010-03-22

Had gone there with my family in tow on Sunday for Dinner. The restaurant looks good from the outside. The restaurant is housed in 2 floors. Though I felt the ground level a bit too compact, the 1st floor was very nice. The ambience reflects the Nizami style and is done up well. I especially liked the Private dining space they had created for families. Very creatively done with the least amount of fuss.
My wifey ordered their Paneer Rolls, which was very well done. The rolls didn't have even the tiniest bit of oil, and the paneer inside tasted very fresh. I went with The Tandoor Pomphret which

This is a really nice little restaurant in Dollars Colony. They claim to have real Nizami cuisine, and though I loved the food, I can't say just how authentic it is.

This is one of the few places where you can get proper paneer. The paneer is soft almost like real Panjabi paneer, not the usual rubbery variety you find in Bangalore. Paneer Butter Masala is recommended. The veg Biryani is excellent, probably the best I've had. Methi Toorai was delightful. The laccha paratha was the best I've had too - crunchy on the outside and softer layers on the inside. The apricot+ice-cream dessert was

Happy to know that you enjoyed your time at JASHN.Actually we have as many veg dishes as non-veg ones.Equal importance was given to both while preparing our menu. You can also try the lunch buffet we do on the weekdays which is very reasonably priced.Thank you...
