I went to Hunan in mid February to relish their weekday lunch buffet. Now I am a person who does NOT like Chinese food, especially if its bland and oily. But the food at Hunan is splendid..flavourful rice and noodles with tangy and spicy accompaniments. Ambience is good..not too formal, ideal for a lunch with friends or a team lunch. This is definitely a break from other places nearby which mainly seem to cater to the college crowd. Hunan is a place where you can have a team lunch, celebrate a birthday..informal.

My friend and I went all the way to this part of the town only to eat food at this place. After driving a long way and asking for directions, we reached this place which is in the beginning of a residential area!! Reliance Trends would be good landmark you could look for. Hunan is just next to it. The restaurant is on the first floor and as you enter the dining hall, you would notice a nicely done interiors. Its not overly done with crimson red and bamboo all over like a few other Chinese places in Bangalore. Had heard about this place from a friend. But since it was a lil far from our place i.e. BEL Rd, we had decided to visit this place when we were in that side of town...
To our astonishment, the food was amazing! Have gone there twice already. Once with my husband and the other time with my mum and hubby. Both the times we loved the food and the ambiance. Must add...excellent customer service as well...which added huge brownie points!

Chicken Lolli Pop 2011-05-22
Well you can never forget to have appetizers before you get to the main menu.....This time when i had been to Hunan for dinner the appetizer i choose was Chiken lolli pop......... Its sound crazy but the taste was fabulous..... It tasted a lot different, I never had anything like that before.... I would suggest you to have it when you visit Hunan -

Roast Pork in a Sauce of your Choice 2011-05-20
Have you ever had Roasted pork any where else?? I eat pork but never used to like it much, but for the first time the Roasted pork tastes so good at Hunan, all taste buds were very pleased after savoring the dish at Hunan. And with the Roasted pork i also had a choice to select any sauce, in this case i choose Hot Bean sauce and it had the best taste as it possible can have.. The next time i go, I would surly not miss eating Pork in Hunan...I would prefer to go to Hunan than visiting other Chinese restaurants.. -
