My friend and I went all the way to this part of the town only to eat food at this place. After driving a long way and asking for directions, we reached this place which is in the beginning of a residential area!! Reliance Trends would be good landmark you could look for. Hunan is just next to it. The restaurant is on the first floor and as you enter the dining hall, you would notice a nicely done interiors. Its not overly done with crimson red and bamboo all over like a few other Chinese places in Bangalore. The dining hall well lit with the natural light and they’ve made space in between the hall for groups who would prefer private space.
Both my friend and I were so hungry, we ordered the soup, starter and the main course together with some help and recommendation from one of the staff!! We ordered one by two Lemon Coriander thick soup, Stuffed Mushroom with Ginger Garlic Sauce, Vietnamese Fried Rice and Three Kinds of Braised Mushroom in Ginger Garlic Sauce.
The soup was good with finely chopped vegetables. The salt was less but, it was ok. Next came the best part of the menu!! The stuffed mushroom was just too good, crispy, tasty, juicy and healthy!! Both of us got 4 each n we wished there was more! I know this place was pretty known for their starters but, dint know they make is so well and leave us craving for more. If we hadn’t already ordered for the main course, I would have probably ordered 2 more starters and preferred to eat only that instead of the main course
The main course – Vietnamese Fried Rice was good but not great. It had tomatoes and was a little tangy in taste. The gravy with it – Braised Mushroom was indeed good. There was some good amount of shitake mushroom in it too and both of us gorged on it! We were too full to try on any desserts. Hence, skipped it!!!
The quantity was good, the food was tasty, impressive, not to heavy on the stomach, subtle and nice ambience with good interiors, extremely good service (I must give a special mention about the waiters here! They were courteous and very helpful) and more importantly, the food is inexpensive!!
All in all, it’s a very nice place and I loved every aspect here. If not for the distance from where I live, this place would surely been one of the most preferred places to visit often.
A meal for 2 would be around 700 bucks and this is surely a VFM place. Those who are in north Bangalore must surely go for it!!
