Good only for Lovely Paratha's 2011-11-19
After the name change from Lalita's Paratha's to Barbees the service has gone down like anything.... but the taste of Paratha's are still the same.....
Go only for Paratha's and if you have lot of patience in life....My rating is for Food only.....service is ???????? -

Believe in my reviews, well avoid going to this place if you are looking for some nice, hygienic place to eat for paltry bill. It’s not the place. The wooden décor is worn and nests thousands of roaches, lizards and so on. Kitchen is full of fumes and industrial standard heat – so the cook and party is soaked in sweat (could be the reason of good taste I guess, pun here). All in all, if you can afford internet you can afford a better place anytime. It’s time for them to renovate from scratch or roll back. Lalita's been there for long. And they're just fine. The appearance of this joint is hardly welcoming. The waiters and staff appear hassled. The seats are old. But these guys can teach a thing or two to the many other punjabi places in town.
Their strengths are parathas with great consistency in taste.
If they spruce up the place and get the staff to relax a little then the ambience of this place can do justice to the food they serve.

Lalitha's parata point is a parata paradise ! 2006-12-28
Cute_Priya rightly said about this place. This is my favorite place only after ibrahim street where, you get good dosas and idlis. As, I am the fan of both south Indian and Punjabi cuisines. We should always look forward to the quality of food served, instead of hiphop looks. Cheers! -
