Oily food led to food poisoning and infection 2012-01-17
The ambience was ok. The plates were unhygenic, not cleanly washed and bits of other food were sticking to the plates. We had a chance to glance at the kitchen before we got seated and that itself threw us off. We were thinking of leaving but thats when we got our seats. The food was very oily.Appam and parotta were little hard rather than soft. My husband got food poisoning and intestine infection and we struggled for about 10 days with taking antibiiotics. I suggest anyone with weak stomach do not try this place. -

Good food but expensive 2011-03-24
I have been to this place many many times, I would like to have food here when I need unadulterated food !. Simple menu, ok service, good quality food.
But for the ambiance and service I feel the price is expensive. -

Typical South Indian 2009-12-15
I have been to Annapoorna many times. If you are vegetarian and south indian, you will love this place. The food is awesome. The best part is the taste is consitent. I like each of the items, pongal, idli, adai. I never liked adai and pongal much. After eating here I started liking them. The murungai keerai adai here is awesome.
For those in diet also, they have akki roti, kelvaragu roti.
But the bad thing is they don't accept cards. you have to pay by cash.
Even at 10 PM at night, you get the food hot and tasty. The serving people are very courteous. -
