Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
Well, we decided to go to Herbs & Spice after vacillating between Medici, Huckleberry, and this. This was good, but I wish I had tried one of the other two instead.
Tomato basil soup: came lukewarm, and in a very shallow dish. Reminded me of the stork and fox story. I know I ordered 1-by-2 soup, but I usually get much larger portions in other places.
Bread platter: the first is complimentary, subsequently INR 100 per serving. So the menu says. The rolls were okay, the slices were poor. I could clearly make out that these had been heated in a microwave before being brought to the... read more
Its just another over hyped place and definitely not worth the money. They first served a bread basket which had hair strands on it. We ordered Potato wedges, for Rs160 he gave us 5 wedges in which one was rotten from inside. The Lasagna we ordered were just baked veggies and very sloppy with no Lasagna sheets in it! More importantly the toilet is very close to the kitchen.... which I tried to access but could not because it was so dirty and the flush was not working!! there was no water at all!! People getting in were compromising with the situation!!!
Its a overhyped place, which def needs feedback to improve.
I happen to visit this place during 1 of the weekend, We ordered for a soupy fuesili pasta , however it was so damn dry! Ordered a risotto, which was not up to the mark, All of a sudden they stopped the music, I had to req them to play.
Need to improvise the custome service skill of the staff.
Herbs and Spices well to be frank the place does justify its namesake with the exception of leaving out the later part of spices in their food. Went there with my wife last month. we order a red beet root soup, stuffed chicken breasts and Onion Chicken and thyme Quiche and few drinks. Soup was stone cold but at the same time I have to accept it left a very sweet taste in beetroot in the mouth, but the best part of the meal of stuffed chicken breasts. soft juicy and stuffed with minced chicken and mushroom. Quiche was a waste of time and energy anyway. Staff is very courteous but service... read more
I have always loved this place and this has been one of our most favourite hang out places. We used to frequent this place so often that i even decided to propose to my wife here. The place definitely has gone through ups and downs. The quality of food did drop in between, but now its picking up again.
The pork sausage is super yum. Wifey loves the prawns and herb rice that they serve. I love almost of the beef steaks. All in all a nice place to hangout made better by very friendly service.
Went on a friday night to experience a live band perform in Herbs and Spice. It was truly amazing. Tried the Italian there. Comes with complimentary breads! If you like live music, good food and of course great desserts ( I tried walnut meringue and it was HEAVENLY! ) , try this place out. Loved the ambiance too!
Thanks to karaoke nights, I've been showing my face rather regularly here :) At the end of a long Thursday, h&s does seem to end my woes (at least temporarily) ;)
When you arrive at Herbs & Spice, you will be greeted by aromas all around. It was a Sunday afternoon and barbecue time. While most people were busy gorging on barbecued cuts, we decided to keep it simple and order from the menu.
The place has a nice feel to it, a casual dining with tasty food. We ordered for Lemon Iced tea and Strawberry Lemonade. Both the drinks were fine. Then we were served fresh assorted breads with herb butter. They were so good that it was less than a minute for us to finish all of it :D
For the main course we ordered Fusilli in pesto sauce and Spinach... read more
