Superbly Yummy!
Visited Herbs and Spice this afternoon. It's a small, unassuming place, light and airy (both of which are very important for me as I'm not a big fan of dark and dingy), lovely green ambiance. Loved the stone floor and the whitewashed walls.
We were served warm bread with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar accompaniment - very nice! The bread was fresh and nothing in the world tastes quite so nice or gives you such a warm 'all's right in the world feeling' as fresh, warm bread. Thank you Herbs and Spice.

But wheres the seasoning?
Irony that a place called Herbs & Spice, but ends up tasting fairly bland. But this was the experience last night, where three of us went there for dinner. For some reason, either the seasoning was not right or completely missing.
It wasn't a busy night and we were seated immediately and ordered right away the main course -
the vegetarian Ravioli (white sauce) with spinach ad the thin crust pizza (9") with Spinach, olives and capsicum.

Not the service we've come to know
I haven't been to Herbs and Spice since they did the remodel, and I don't know if it's the additional tables or some other problem, but the service was not up to par on our lunch visit yesterday. We waited awhile to get menus and then to order. We asked for more bread that never arrived. There were 4 of us and 2 of the meals arrived, and 2 came about 15 minutes later after asking about them twice (one of the late dishes was my salad!) I'd asked for serrano ham to be added to the salad, something I always have, and it was not on the salad when it arrived. Two of us ordered dessert and coffee.... read more -

Awful experience
I visited their Indiranagar establishment today for dinner for the first time since they moved from the old location.
We ordered Pork Chops and Veg Lasagne for the main course. The Veg Lasagne was cold and had to be sent back. Waiting for someone to come by to tell them this took almost 15 minutes. The Pork Chops were tough and contained probably 10% meat and 90% fat. The accompanying mashed potatoes looked and tasted like they were leftovers from lunch. Thank you for your feedback. Herbs and Spice would like to extend its sincerest apologies to you as our food and service did not match up to your expectations.
We do leave leave some fat on our pork, simply for the added flavor. However, we are in the process of correcting this and our mashed potatoes. I would, however, like to stress that at NO time have we ever served any leftovers for any meal!

My sincerest apologies that our food did not match your expectations. The accompaniment to the bread is olive oil and balsamic vinegar (a traditional Italian accompaniment) and has no salt whatsoever. We also offer another choice of herbed butter as accompaniment - do request us for that the next time you choose to visit us.
Our Ricotta and Hazelnut Cheesecake is made from a denser cheese (a consistency close to cottage cheese) - I'd appreciate it if you could let me know why it tasted wrong.
