Bring your family and tell your friends (especially foreigners) that the Museum is a good destination to see some historic sculptures, tools, and Indian art. It's not very large so you only need an hour or so but I think it's well worth visiting- especially considering it only costs Rs. 4 per person. It's also next to the Science & Technology museum which you can do on the same day (Rs. 20). This is one of the oldest, established in the year 1865, Karnataka Government Museum and Venkatappa Art Gallery has a huge collection of Terracota from Mathura, sculptures from Gandhara, Nolamaba and Hoysala Periods and antiques from Mohenjodaro.
It’s a really interesting thing to find such things in the museums which showcase a part of the Indian Heritage and History. We’d get to know how rich, distinctive our culture and civilizations were.
