  • Lost glory 2011-02-15

So many times I have heard restaurants come with an expiry date. This is a classic example of the same.
It was once, my favourite Italian joint. But I need to look elsewhere.
The portion sizes have reduced. There were running out of Ham. Unbelievable!! The place looked shabby and the desert corner was deserted - I mean empty. The complimentary Bruschetta has vanished as well.
On the positive side, the pizza was good. Prices are still 4 years old.

If you are reading this review then I hope you take my word for it and go check this place out. Really good Italian food. I had a chicken dish here and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Service is good and Ambiance is great.

  • Loved it! 2010-12-30

I went to Fiorano after a long time. I used to take my clients there back in 2007 and 2008 and after living in Europe and America for about 2 years, I returned to Bangalore in Aug '10.

I took my first ever boyfriend (we are not seeing each other and we are both single) there warning him that I had only been to this place 2 years ago and the quality could be very different given the fact that restaurant ownerships change often.

It was Christmas and the restaurant was decked up fabulously. Dim lights and a low-key crowd made our evening really special. I ordered Linguine Al Pesto

  • really? 2010-11-12

So i had an argument with a friend about where to take our family's for dinner. Of course i lost but I did beg her to le us go test it first.

Fiorano, what can i say? there have been times earlier on when the food was fabulous. Now we head into a restaurant with dirty table cloths indifferent waiters and worst of all bland overcooked food.
My suggestion? the cooks take a holiday get back into their groove put the word out and I'll be back in a jiffy!

We went to Fiorano after seeing that it had received the 'Most Liked Italian Restaurant' award on Burrp. When we entered the place, we were taken aback by the decor, which wasn't anything special. The menus were quite battered too, and not very extensive. We anyway placed our order, after which we were given precisely two slices of hard bread with some basil leaves, one cherry tomato and two garlic pieces!
We ordered a Mojito and a Cosmopoliton, both of which were served in normal glasses used to serve water! The drinks were decent enough.
About the food: we ordered the Panzanella, which

  • Consistently superb ! 2010-06-09

After quite a few months, hubby and I stopped by at Fiorano for a bite last evening (it's always been one of our favourites). It turned out to be much more than a bite and every bit of it was delicious. The coffee is to die for - superbly aromatic and strong - not the usual milky cappucino that one finds at every street corner. The service is pleasant and caring as always. We were so full we had to parcel the dessert (couldn't leave without it) and had it as a midnight snack !!!

  • Tasty Food but Expensive... 2010-04-20

We went there for lunch on 17th April 2010 on a special occasion.

    We ordered:

    • Garlic Bread (Okay, though personally I didn't like it much. However it's a free starter.)

    • Veg Lasagne (Very Very Good)

    • Chicken Breast (Very Very Good - They customized it to spicier Indian version on my request)

    • Tiramisu (Delicious)

There was nothing to fault with food. Service was not very fast, but okay. Quantity was okay.

However, I felt it's a very very expensive place. I guess it's okay for special occasions, but not for regular dine.

  • Best Tiramisu 2010-04-04

This is the first time I have been to Fiorano's. It lived up to what I had heard of it. Good ambience with personal lighting. Great food with a wide range of vegetarian fare. The part that sealed the deal for me was the desert. Loved the tiramisu, it was just so perfect. The Lemon cheese cake was delightfully flavored too.
