Having been to all the Japanese restaurants in Bangalore (which have left me dissapointed), I finally went to Edo last night with a friend. Their sushi was really delicious, I had three different Uramaki's, one with tuna, one with soft shell crab and a third with a combination of a few different fish. I loved them all, they were really well made and delicious! We also ordered tuna hosomaki which was also very good (although I personally prefer sushi with rice on the outside). We also ordered a chicken katsu which was good as well - came with a teriyaki glazed sauce and some pepper spices. Finally for dessert, I ordered a dessert platter which had chocolate/banana cake, green tea cheesecake, sesame mochi and another cheesecake. The desserts weren't bad but not to my taste. I'm more a fan of extremely sweet desserts, so I didn't enjoy the Japanese desserts all that much - but then again I never have.
The ambience was nice, it was minimalistic/airy with high ceilings and the service was great!
All in all, loved Edo. Its on the pricey side, came to a total of 6000 including tip (and I would have happily ordered more food but chose not to). But totally worth it if you want good japanese food in Bangalore!
