First impressions : We went straight to the rooftop. At first glance, this place looked beautiful; Nice ambiance & great view, but empty on a Saturday night. We had second thoughts and checked out the Sports Bar(Dingy, I must say) below, only to settle for the rooftop.
Tummy Talks : ‘Dugout’ has a very elaborate Menu consisting of Indian, Continental & Italian. All with Starters, Main Course & Desserts. We ordered for a pitcher of beer before we even sat on our tables & some Sangria for the lady. The Beer was crisp & had just the right amount of fizz! We placed an order of Veg Fritters & Kastoori Kabab, the former had a light batter(Beer Batter, Am guessing) and was crisp, the latter came with a rolled up papad which also doubled up as a bowl for the vinegared onions. The Continental Barbeque Platter – 2 Tiger Prawns, Lamb Chops, 2 Grilled Fish Sheeks, 2 Grilled Chicken skewers, 2 Chicken Sausages, this was a meal in itself.Next came the Pizzas. By far, the best pizzas I’ve had in town – PERIOD! We ordered the Diavola(Salami, Pepperoni, Sausage) & Spiced Chicken (delicately spiced & roasted chicken). Both these came with Oregano, Chilli Flakes, Tabasco & Olive Oil on the side. These were the most VFM pizzas I’ve ever had. I would probably pay 700INR for something of this quality at Toscano/Sunny’s. We had both these for that price. Last but not the least, was the our favorite dish of all time – BIRYANI. We ordered the Lucknowi Ghosht Biryani, mildly spiced & aromatic. Alas, we had no space for any dessert.
