Terrible food and service 2012-05-13
Went for lunch there yesterday and it was a disaster in all aspects. We opted for a-la-carte and the service was pathetic, took 2 hours to serve two courses. Many times had to literally walk up to the waiters to get their attention. This even though the restaurant was half empty and there was a sparse crowd. On top, the waiters did not have any knowledge of the dishes in the menu and seemed clueless about Chinese cuisine. The dimsums was too spicy, the noodles and fried rice bland and the mocktails syrupy.

For the uninitiated, Dancing Wok has replaced Sikander in Garuda Mall on the 4th floor. What better way to satiate your hungry belly after a frenzied shopping spree at the mall than a lavish Chinese buffet. Chinese Food = Comfort Food for me so though a couple of my friends wanted some beer & sizzlers @ Kobe, they settled for Dancing Wok for my sake. Nice interiors and pleasant waiters greet you as you enter Dancing Wok, add to that a nice view of the Magrath Road if you choose a table by the window. Cliched name, but not clichéd food at all. I went for their buffet over the weekend, a lavish spread covering Chinese, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese, for a reasonable price. There were three veg and two non-veg starters, of which I liked the chicken dimsums best. The non-veg main course had Malaysian noodles, lamb in Sichuan sauce and shredded chicken with bell peppers, all of which were quite spicy and tasty.
