Decent Odiya Food 2012-04-14
When Authentic Odiya food is the matter, I don't think any restaurant can achieve the taste. Now coming to Dalma in Kormangala, I'd say, they are doing an average job of cooking (or rather trying to cook) food in Odiya style. Some of the good points of Dalma are that you can get nearly Odiya experience (name of the food sometimes does the trick like "chicken kasaa"), some of the sweet dishes remind you of Odisha like Chenna poda, prices are decent, you can talk in Odiya if you want to, there are many variety in Non-veg category, Valet parking is available. Aweful experience 2012-02-29
I have been visiting Dalma very often since last one year for lunch as my office is very near to it. The chicken thaali and few other preparation I tried tasted good, though the service was not up to its cost. Still I kept going as I was expecting only good homely food. Now today the person takes order came and I asked him about some cheap veg thali they are offering. He made some faces and told me what will be there in the dish, as if he was doing me some favor, and then without even bothering to wait for my order he left suddenly to do something else.

Odia food at its best 2012-02-15
Odia food is known for its subtle flavours and mildly spiced food. Its also heavily relied on local ingredients which is almost impossible to find in down South.
However Dalma does a pretty good job in representing authentic Odia food. Good food, nice location, valet parking and very decent pricing.
If you are on a weekend shopping spree around Koramangala and need a well deserved break to try out something different than hundreds of typical North Indian and South Indian joint all around, this is the place.
The claypot curries and authentic deserts are a must try. -

Go if You Are not a Odiya 2012-02-08
This palce has garnered many negative reviews because the quality of food is going down.
This place shouts loud for its "authentic odiya" cuisine. yes true you will not get the type of dishes it offers in any other hotel but if you are a odiya you will know the difference between authentic & "mixed" .
The food is ok, price is too expensive considering the amount you will get in plate.
Try the thali -(most prefered) -you will get a chance to taste 4-5 different types of odiya food. Mutton items are good. But Avoid fish/prwan items, they are not fresh.

have been here a couple of times mostly for take outs and the fish curry in mustard sauce and rohu fry are quite good! -

The “Mati Handi Chicken/mutton Curry” (Prepared using mud pot) was really superb. The way they prepared the food that you feel like having food at home. Though I am a regular visito to DALMA, still I fell like going there to have the mouth watering sweet available there like, Chnna Poda, Chena Gaja and Pahala Rasogola.... -

Being from Orissa was overjoyed at the opening of this well known restaurant from BBSR. Knowing Oriya's i knew the service would be bad but was hoping that the food would make up for it.
Over course of time visited this place 4-5 times. as expected service was non existent. Waiters personify grumpiness and look as if they have come straight out of a funeral. They can seriously kill your appetite.

Good food, very bad service! 2011-07-28
We went here thrice, all the times the food was good. Sadly, every time we had to encounter the moody and demotivated waiters. We tried a bread called luchi which was soft and nice. Then, I had a chicken thali with chicken curry and my husband had the mutton kasha. The kasha's here are just too good..I loved their chicken curry too. Definitely a nice place to come, but just don't expect any customer service. -

Worst food and service ever 2011-07-13
I wish there was an option of giving negative rating.
The food is bad and the service is worse. They serve starters in a single plate and give 2 spoons for 2 people and 3 spoons for 3. We have to ASK for extra plates which they'll give; but with an expression on their faces that they are doing us a favor. They start clearing the table before we have finished our food.
Talking about food; starters we good. The main course was HORRIBLE. We ordered for chicken thali and all we got was watery chicken curry, cold rice and a big bowl of dalma. It was tasting as if they took the curry... read more -
