  • As bad as it can get.. 2011-11-02

Probably the worst Chinese food I've had in a while. Dragon rolls were filled with a very vinegary (almost spoilt) filling. Guess they got a bargain on cabbages which they stuffed into the rolls. Chilly babycorn was the only saviour apart from Hakka noodles. Kung Pao (veg) tasted burnt - the taste you get when you're using a pan that really needs to be thrown out.
No more Chung-Wah Opus for me. I prefer the roadside guy's gobi manchurian anyday...

  • Chung Wah (J.P.nagar) Near the new underpass 2011-01-28

I had been there yesterday night for dinner with my wife as it was our marriage anniversary and since my wife loves chinese i thought this was the place.

The Ambiance is very nice but would have appreciated if there was a a cozy place as the weather was chilling and this place is open on the sides and we were feeling cold and uncomfortable all the time.

First we ordered for Man chow soup which came up pretty fast and it was hot and good. But we felt the soup was less thick compared to the other places that we had.

We had ordered for a starter,Crispy chilly veg and when

  • Never order any food from CHUNG WAH OPUS JP NAGAR 2010-12-19

This outlet is managed by unethical people, who does not have any professionalism to manage the Home delivery. I had made an order on Sunday, 19th Dec,2010 at around 8.15PM, when the percel didn't arrived after 1 hour (around 9.20PM) I enquired for the same, Manager told me that it is on the way. But, when it didn't arrived after 2 hours I called them and able to reach them successfully around 10.20PM (after lots of try, around 20-30 times, they were disconnecting the call). They told me the story that all home delivery has been delivered, nothing is pending. Before, I say something more, they... read more

  • love struck 2009-11-12

Maybe it was a state of mind, maybe it was the company, maybe it was just a perfect day but i found the place as close to perfect as can be. A perfect venue for a romantic and relaxing long meal. Although i was too busy concentrating on my company the food was distraction enough to occupy the attention of a love struck girl with no appetite. We started with the tomyum chicken soup, then came the grilled chicken, which was quite a big serving and delicious.Being a potato lover, i took the fried potato starter with the honey chilli sauce. Next came the malaysian noodles, not the best i've had but still... read more

  • Hidden away 2009-06-16

This place really rocks. It is not a place that you would discover in a normal evening at Jayanagar. It is pretty much hidden away.

The terrace seating is awesome. My suggestion would be to visit this place in the evening sometime before the rush begins.

The quantity they serve is generous. The service is courteous. The food is delicious. The ambience is fabulous.

    Try it out.

  • Scrumptious + Delicious = Scrumplitious 2009-04-04

Great place to eat for the ultimate chinese cuisine.
Good value for money and delicious chinese food. Try the Manchow soup with crispy noodles and ask for the Chung Wah fried rice. I forgot the name but its got a generous serve of egg and chicken. The ambience is good. Set up on a terrace with great interiors and comfortable seating. Dont forget to end it with the Crispy Honey fried noodles as a desert.
Will be good for your family dinners !!
The staff is helpful and good service form them. Chung Wah means People of China.
