  • Had a bad food poisoning 2010-07-10

Not only for me but 8 out of 11 of us fell sick after dining in Bombay Post. Don't know whether it was problem with Food or water. Taste wise food was okay, service was pathetic! Even after calling for7/8 times could not get the service. In that respect price was quite high! But above all after the horrible food poisoning, will never dare to dine again.

I had promised deedee that I would take her and jiju for my birthday treat and here was the plan... after a real hard fast on mahashivratri, both me and deedee wanted to have a nice good meal... Deedee insisted so much on this restaurant though I had Indijoe's in mind. But as soon as I reached there, I was sold to the ambiance. Old bollywood songs, portraits of old Indian cinema and a guard with admirable mustache at the gate... felt good... and I saw few foreigners too which was good enough indication that the food here was going to be good.. being nearer to Leela Palace could also attract foreign... read more

  • Decent!! 2010-01-14

This was my latest visit on 12-Jan, i have been to similar restaurant in hyd and was little skeptical to go here.

However, out of some compulsions had to go here and was not disappointed.

The cuisine is totally north Indian, the huge wallpapers with rajkapoor and all are really good.

Then there is a surprise element of having a kind of fish stall, where different kinds of fish are demonstrated.

This would make you feel that they specialize in these items, so with this confidence i ordered something called kingsize fish fry. i am not sure what was king size in

  • Good Food, Average Ambiance 2010-01-13

We went for our team dinner to Bombay Post. Most of the crowd were vegetarians. We took the corporate buffet costing 599+tax. The non veg kebabs were excellent. Except one veg kebab others were not good. Ordered tandoori tiger prawns. You can pick your prawns from the display. I also ordered Bombay to Goa, which is a litchi based mocktail. It was good. Being full with Kebabs, I took few rotis with Chicken Tikka masala and chicken briyani. They were food. The place is very noisy due to fans and we could not cleary hear everyone talking in the team. Otherwise it is good place to eat.
