Ballal Residency

As you travel on residency road of Bangalore you will notice hordes of people on the move at all times. You would see people headed for work, shopping, to a restaurant, a theatre perhaps or to meet friends at a common place. Residency road is one of the most happening places in Bangalore and is easily accessible from every part of the city. It forms the hub of activity and you would see some important commercial complexes in the vicinity. As you take a lane off Residency road, the hum of the people suddenly disappears and tranquility prevails. Ladies and gentlemen, you have arrived at the Ballal Residency.

  • Consistently delicious food 2011-09-23

After a longtime, we have decided to lunch out at Ballal@residency road, today.
I must admit, it is truly wonderful experience to have such a consistently delectable food and prompt attention and thoughtful service of the seasoned veterans of this eatery tucked away from the hustle and bustle of residency road.
We have ordered Methi Mutter Malai, Dal Fry, Rotis and Jeera Rice. Sweetlime juice.
Rotis: are hot n crisp with sufficient softness
Dal Fry: just the right seasoning and gentle n light taste that lingers on the palate
Methi Malai Mutter: the true stealer...bit spicy

  • Pleasant surprise 2010-06-12

This hotel is tucked away between residency road and magrath road. The restaurant is called palmgrove and parking is available inside the hotel compound. We tried the south indian special thali and it was very nice. The ambience is also very good. We'll be going there more frequently to try the other fare. Overall this place could be more popular given its quality. Right now it seems to be like a well kept secret.

One of the best Vegetarian Restaurants in town, must say, Suits all pockets, conveninently located, ample parking, friendly and courteous staff and an excellent Bar - the only one probably in town that's also Vegetarian... Now, that's something that I was surprised to know a few months ago.

The Dosas, Idly and Vadas are as authentic as possible in the main restaurant where as the knick-knack snacks along with Beer and Spirits is yummm at the Bar located next door.

Must visit atleast once in a month for me!
