Was not impressed at all with the place. With all the hype of an international chain, the only pleasing thing is the setup and the friendly staff.
We had a wrap and a sandwich, both veg, both with a Mediterranean filling. The result ? a leaky order. Both had a vinaigrette that was too runny and not suited at all to either of the dishes.
The bagels with cream cheese were ok, not the NY type, but a little more than a bun.
The soup was the biggest letdown. Coriander and maize with probably a hefty touch of guntur chilli powder! Sure there were flavours, but that was all lost in the heat... read more

this is the first truly american deli in bangalore & about bloody time. great sandwiches & really tasty breads as well. the standout though was the soups. 4 veg + 4 non veg soups - we had the cream of chicken in a bread bowl & chicken garlic soup. really really nice. the soup + breadbowl is a meal by itself for 80 bucks.
they've got a lot of options - i'm sure most people would something or the other to their liking. sure some of the dishes are a little indianized but retain the western taste & feel. overall a very nice experience.
and oh! lest i forget - the service was outstanding.

My friend and I caught for some shopping in the evening and two tired souls had to stuff ourselves with something really delicious to eat and some soothing drink that can not only satisfy, satiate our thirst but also refresh and energize us. Walking on MG Road and thinking on which place to barge in, onto our left hand side, I noticed ABP and just pulled my friend into it without asking or telling him what I was trying to do. Au Bon Pain is a great franchise in the US- known for its quality, convenience, variety, and delicious foods. I was disappointed with the Au Bon Pain on MG Rd. The menu options were very limited- and catered almost exclusively to Indian tastes (I was expecting delicious western-style snacks and paninis- not veg puffs and tikka wraps).
