I was here on the Valentine’s Day eve with a group of friends. I was told this is one of the most happening place in the city and more blah blah.
We reached the place pretty early – around 8:30PM and we were the only people almost till 9:30PM.
We ordered some beers and tequilas to start with. To munch along, there’s hardly any choice for the veggies! All that we could have were finger chips and potato wedges!!! The food was a big letdown coz’ apart from the two veg choices, we were left with nothing else. I was wondering if this is really a seven star. This was followed by some more drinks like wine and more beers. By this time, the crowd started getting in and the dance floor got packed.
The best thing about being on the dance floor was the good music. May this is the only thing I can talk good about this place. As we got really hungry (thanks to the poor finger food choice they have), we had to leave the place. For a few drinks and 2 potato starters, the bill was close to 4k which I felt wasn’t really worth. While we were leaving, a few of us wanted to use the rest room and that was the worst thing that could happen to us in a seven star place like this. the loo was stinking, had no tissue papers and flush wasn’t working either. Later somebody told me, Athena isn’t managed by The Leela but somebody else has been given a contract and they are doing a shitty job and nowhere they stand up to the standard of Leela.
An experience totally not worth of and it is best avoided!
