I pass this place quite often and every-time see their banner for their buffet lunch! Decided to finally try it today.
The location is nothing great...parking can be a problem for cars. From outside it looks as if this place has shut down ages ago.
Its on the first floor, door is closed and no one even to open. Now which restaurant will keep its door closed without anyone being at the door to entertain their guests!
After being seated at the table...we had no clue why we cam here! No one came to ask for anything...we assumed this place serves both buffet and ala-carte. After 10 mins I had to explicitly ask the manager whether is there any menu card. He said no and that they only serve buffet.
In a buffet, usually soups and starters are served on the table. Not here. Firstly no soups...starters they mentioned two...tandoori aloo and some kebab...but only Aloo was available. Upon inquiring I was told that the kebab is still getting prepared. It was 1:30 PM and food still getting prepared for Buffet???
Moving on...we decided to not wait for kebabs...and went for the main course.
No breads and no one to inform that it will be served. Again after inquiring a person came to take order for breads. I tell him butter naan.
Meanwhile we are tasting the food....kebabs get served...and these are fried..!!! Kebabs are meant to be cooked in a tandoor if my knowledge is correct. And these were very bland and tasteless.
10 mins pass no sign of breads...after inquiring twice...again after 10 mins...a waiter comes with bread...only 1 portion of naan and that too plain!! Anyways I immediately order butter naan knowing their service will again take time.
Again 15 mins passes and no sign of bread...we decide to go for rice.
Then comes the naan..with butter this time.
The only saving grace to the entire experience is their food. Which to me was quite good. Otherwise its a sad sad sad place to go. Service is exceptionally bad.
Total tab came to 619(225 each for 2 buffet and 45 for fresh lime soda). Again for the price its VFM...but then the overall experience is way below average.
Definitely not going again!
