Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
i ve had the oppertunity to eat 3 times at 1947 . food ranged from above average to poor. in the sense one time the food was real bad. for a group of 11 members it cost 6000 which i felt was overpriced and the food was worthless.the other two times we had dinner at the party hall - the food was good and variety filled... still i would not go there again as the taste depends on the chefs mood and i dont want to take chances on such a costly affair
Absolute non sense..over hyped..nothing great..just looting..not worth the money you pay..the owner must visit similar hotels in Mumbai and learn better business practices..
Nothing great..just over hyped..the owner must visit few hotels in Mumbai.. And learn better business practices..the roti we ordered was so small and charged 30 rupees.. Day light roberry..
This is slightly pricey, but the food is awesome! We ordered rotis and dal makhani, and sweets for dessert. Rotis were perfectly baked; neither too hard nor too soft. The dal was heavenly; rich with the aroma of butter. The sweets deserve special mention. We ordered jalebis, gajar halwa and rabri, all of which were divine! This is a must-visit, if you love a hearty Delhi-style meal
Been to 1947 at Banashankari. The starters Aloo Nazafat ke and tadoori Babycorn were spicy and kinda ok. Roti was not good, but eatable and the worst part was aloo Palak and Kaju masala. Both of them were dumb and had no taste. Infact Palak looked very very old with lots of food colour.
Food=Great, Yummy, Tasty

Have visited all the three 1947s in Bangalore, and this one, the first one to open, is perhaps the best of the lot. they have a few of parking slots, but gets full soon. the food is pretty good and tasty, but has become pretty expensive recently, while the quantity has slightly reduced. the food theme seems to rotate around Paneer a lot. Am sure they can come up with more innovative dishes from other ingredients. the theme of the restaurant surrounds the Independence movement of India and hence has lot of photos from that era, which is nice. the ambiance is very good. the service... read more
