Good place for business lunches or talks

I has visited this place along with my family many many years back, like 20 years ago. My dad is a business man and usually tends to have many business meetings or business lunches at this place. Being a pocket friendly restaurant, I remember my dad visiting this resto at least once in a week. He made sure that we all as a family too visit this resto and ended up visiting it ever since.

The place has a unique ambiance and offers both north and south Indian food items. Yes, there is this ubiquitous Chinese food too on the menu. My vote is always for the South Indian tiffins. I am an ardent dosa lover and can never miss having dosas from here, be it plain, masala, rava or that biggggggggggg Paper Masala Dosa. The chutney and sambar served is good enough. Then comes the humble idli, love the rasam idli. And the poori-kurma. And the coffee. And the chocolate milk shake.

My dad always tries the South Indian Thali, and he is a fan of it. The pickles served are delicious so is the whole thali.

Average ambiance, taste is ok

We visited their Himayatngr branch, after almost 10years (we were not in Hyd) and found not much change in ambience (same old pieces of funi) but place is lil cramped now to accomodate more visitors.

We tasted South Indian Thali, starters, hot masala maincourse, ended with desserts. We went in group so got to taste variety they offered. Taste is just average, but its not so spicy nor so sweet. I must say not much choice in Starters, Desserts but main course is assorted varieties.

Service was relatively fast, but pricing is high for its ambiance, location, taste. But then there are not too many decent ones around in this part of the city, so this works out to be ok for family dinners.

service needs to be better

Went here last week and ordered a simple dal chawal, which took 20 mins! Dal had more of chillies and less of dal!

For idli/dosa, i'd rather go to chutneys!

Good place gone bad!!!

Ambience 5/10.....the place was reeking with the smell of Phenyl
Service 9/10.....Lightning fast, just what u expect from a South Indian restaurant

Food 4/10.....idli was soft but sambar was tasteless, the chutneys served were pretty impressive.onion rava dosa was not cooked properly, the onions were just added separately instead of cooking it with the dosa itself.

I reached home after that and within 3-4 hours i got LOOSE MOTIONS....I am never gonna visit the place again!!!

There are a lot of other places which serve tastier and cheaper south Indian...please avoid!!!!!!
