Kynkyny Art presents an evocative and delightful take on the world of contemporary relationships with all their attendant magic and chaos with its latest show, The New Romantics. Celebrating the tender and poignant world of human relationships, this large-scale thematic group exhibition is also something of a tour de force and brings together an unprecedented line-up of exciting artists, including SG Vasudev, Doddamani, JMS Mani, Basuki Dasgupta, G Subramanian, Rajesh Salgaonkar, Sumana Chowdhury, Sachin Jaltare, Jasu Rawal, Sultana Hassan, Ganapati Hegde, Dhrubajyoti Baral and many more. The thirty two participating artists combine forces and present stirring, soulful and sublime meditations on the nature of postmodern love, desire and belonging. The art works collectively journey through the mysterious territory of the human heart and explore the intricate web of relationships we weave with one another through the course of our lives, some fleeting and ephemeral, some dark and shadowy, some intoxicating and clandestine, and others melancholic and heart-breaking. Mixed media works featuring playful lovers, whimsical women and dreamy-eyed men and a quixotic menagerie of animals, birds and flowers against abstract backdrops tell the story of missed connections, fated encounters and heartfelt love affairs.
