We went over to the Ping and was startled - so much could be done by young professionals coming together to operate a run of the mill venture: a chinese restaurante in India. The difference here was simply the way the key focus of the restaurant, food, has been transformed to an unbelievable delight. Starting with the basic treat, the starters, The Dimsums. I have had them all my life, in every nook and corner of the country - from vendors in the by-lanes of Cannaught Place to the old style shops in The Park Street at Kolkata - but there was something remarkably different about them at Ping. The reactions of my pure vegetatian friends were as profound as me and my non-veg consuming compatriate were. We moved onto the next course of having the soups. A simple light soup could be so relishing was hard to imagine. The main course was then selected with attention to not ordering the regular chinese restaurant stuff. Each dish lived up to the Ping promise of being remarkably superiorto its predecessor.
Then a trip to Ping would simply be incomplete by ignoring the Dessert Bay. We ordered one plate each of an ice cream serving each. Here again the ice creams were not the standard ice creams sold elsewhere.
After all my burrps at night, the only words that I could utter about my visit to the restaurant was "Just Awesome!"

It was a pleasure to have you in our restaurant. Many years ago, when we were neighbours, I remember we used to relish every bite of quality meal. I have now made a humble beginning on running a restaurant, and you have become a well travelled connoisseur of food. We look forward to hearing your feedbacks in the future and keeping on the toes with quality and, as required, experimentation with food.
