IF you want to take revenge on someone take them to this place. If you are not on talking terms, then send them a meal (Babumoshai has home delivery service).
Forget Bengali food, these guys are not fit to serve food.
The guy who took my order was chatting away on the phone. He jerked his head looking at me. Actually he was asking for my order - sign language. Since it was my first time in that place, I was not aware of their menu. So I drew a square in the air which means menu card in sign language. We used only sign language till I left the place.
As I waited for the food to arrive, I saw men clad in dirty lungi and all sweaty emerging from the kitchen. That terrified me. I was in half a mind to leave. Just then the food arrived. No marks for guessing. The food tasted pathetic. The rohu fish in the fish curry I ordered was over fried and looked like it was fried ages ago.
To add to my trauma was the uncomfortable seating. The tables were too high. I am of normal height and yet I found it very uneasy.
I stopped midway and again in sign language asked for the bill. And as I paid and walked out I was thinking of a suitable title for this review. Nightmare on 17th E Main road.
