Overhyped and expensive!

We had heard some good things about this place and decided to try it out. Can't say we came back sharing the same opinion. Although the taste of the food is decent, it's nothing out of the ordinary and definitely not worth the price. We had ordered basic stuff like rotis and butter chicken but even that turned out to be much spicier than expected. We decided to cool down with some kulfi but were left shocked that for a dessert you pay over 100 bucks, you only get about a couple of spoonfuls!

The open air decor of the place can be charming at times, but the place can be unbearable if you end up being seated at the wrong place, bereft of fans. Agreed that a hot summer evening added to our woes that day, there's certainly nothing about the place that will invite us back.

Reliably good

The Good:
- Widely spaced tables
- Good veg selection
- Signature dishes are great
- Aam panna and shikanjvi make for a change from the usual
- Large portions

The Bad:
- Decor needs updating
- Valets can take a long time to get your car back
- Can have more Mumbai specialties - no Maharashtiran dishes in the mix here

What to Eat:
Plan for a four course meal. The thirst quenchers are great, the palak chaat is unusual, the kebabs are succulent, and the deserts are sinful. Loosen your belt, and dig in

What to Avoid:
Bar the overpriced mocktails, I cant think of anything

north indian food, thankfully in north indian style

the first thing with strikes about this plc is the door man with Verrapan muchiieesss...he always greats you with a wide smile and a loud voice..

the interiors r nice with bollywood actors black and white faces painted arcoss the walls...the chairs are comffy and place is well lit..

FOOD is a 4.5/5 for sure...should visit it as this is one of the few pages which servs north indian food thankfully not in southindian style...(appologies for the rudeness but its the truth)

kabab/ lucha/startes....all nice...thumbs up to this one too
