With a certain clinginess towards such cozy li'l joints, i completely am game for any visit to this place at any time of the day; it ain't one of your regular small joints who serve dishes after dishes to an ever growing queue of customers.
Quaintly located off carter road, this eatery has a super-laid back service which I would not call 'amateurish' - its just made to give that kind of service! Sized to seat just about 4-5 groups of 4 on the outside and two on the inside, it marks its coziness.
The menu includes a list of fresh juices (Rs. 90/- each). They have an assortment of filled crepes, both in veg and non-veg. They also have a special chalked out menu displayed on the front entrance which is an absolute 'not-to-miss'. Have tried their carbo-crepe (crepe filled with potato and a tangy sauce; Rs. 140/-) and pan-fried fish with zingy mustard sauce (Rs. 250/- and is accompanied on a bed of rice and a lemony tangy zingy soupy gravy on the side) which was absolutely marvelous. The quality of fish was unquestionable! The crepes are served along with a small portion of salad and a thousand island dressing. Also did try their paneer steak (which was infused with butter); so soft that its impossible to pick it up on your fork, and does not require the services of any of ur teeth or jaws; it simply melts!!
Deserts also include an array of crepes with bananas and chocolate as also waffles with similar toppings. We had the apple and cinnamon crepe to end our meal on an absolute high.
One of the things on the menu which I have not yet had are their English breakfasts....i really need to get my tummy full on those one of these times.
Expect to spend at least a couple of hours here at this laid-back eatery to enjoy a surreptitious meal.
