dissapointing

The blue foods group has been steadily going downhill though Spaghetti Kitchen has always been consistently acceptable and the odd time pretty top notch.

Last time i was there i had a pretty memorable meal, one of the better ones (not the most authentic but pretty darn good) The service was pretty fantastic as well.

So i returned to the kichen a few months later and it was fairly dissapointing. The place is spacious and airy as ever but the staff seems to have changed and so have the values.

We started off with the Capuccino of mushroom served with mushroom biscotti. Fairly average soup, no great shakes, though they have never done it above average so i guess its allright. The bruschetta is different from most places as they use tomato and mushroom and olive oil. Interesting but tired dish, they need to change it up a bit.

The entrees were the spaghetti in pomodoro (crap, it was undercooked) the lasagna with spinach (not bad but not great either) the crack wheat pizza was the saving grace. Absolutely fantastic.

I think the chefs have gone and started to precook dishes keeping them ready to dunk in hot water and then the sauce. it shows on the quality of the food, taste and texture. I am glad i didnt order a risotto would have been a disaster.

The service was reliable but no friendly suggestions and you had to call them everytime you needed them.

Overall i would say the quality of the experience has gone down by about 60% which is sad. The menu is also worn for use and needs change.

Damage was same as before 2000 for 3 without drinks.
