Sizzlers and Steaks
Yoko sizzlers is a nationwide chain of sizzler outlets. Mumbai has about a dozen of these and I had heard from a friend there that they serve good steaks. As they opened up in Hyderabad, I was always interested in visited them for a bite.
The Hyderabad outlet is in a shopping centre bang opposite City Centre Mall. The building also houses Neerus boutique. The restaurant has a ground floor and first floor sections.
The menu has an extensive choice of steaks and sizzlers - chicken, mutton, fish and beef. Since we were 3 persons we were advised to go for 2 sizzlers. Our choice wer Garlic steak with cheese and Mixed grill. The side items we ordered were some garlic bread and cheese on toast. Please note that the sizzlers here do not come with rice, noodles or bread and you need to order them separately.
The Garlic steak with cheese was a very large chunk of beef steak along with cheese and vegetables. I liked the flavor and taste of pepper sauce in it. You can also have a variant with mushroom sauce if you want.
The mixed grill preparation was spicy and somewhat an Indian version. It had chicken, mutton, liver and beef pieces as well as sausages. Somehow one does not expect Indian spices in a steak joint and I did not find it that good. The Garlic Bread and Cheese toast were fresh and tasty.
The menu does also have burgers and steaks as well as soups and cocktail salads.
Visit the place for a change of cuisine. Cost was Rs 900 for 3 persons.
