The way this cafe has been made (location, interior decoration and overall look) is fantastic. In fact I would like to give the designer a prize!
But but but, Soul Deli cafe is strictly avoidable for several reasons:
(1) BAD EXHORBITANT FOOD (I ordered just a black forest pastry, they gave it to me with extra cream, which I had never asked for and they charged 150 bucks for a 4 day stale pastry). The peach iced tea I ordered had a nice lemon slice stuck outside and nice small pieces of a polythene bag floating inside.
(2) PATHETIC SERVICES: The aforementioned food arrived in about 30 minutes when the waitor had assured me for 10 minutes (Later on I realized they took my order to some other table which caused confusion which in turn caused delay).
(3) CARELESS ATTITUDE: I paid by my credit card for my food, they took it and they took the signing slip alongwith my card to some other table. Thankfully I was observing the movement of the waitor and I intervened in time.
(4) ARROGANT ATTITUDE: After an amazing experience which I wrote above, I rightfully wanted to talk to the manager face to face to give some feedback. I told this to 3 independent waitors but sadly my message was apparently never conveyed to him. I had to leave the place after waiting for nearly 10 minutes.
Anyway, if you are still daring enough to go to the place, remain ready for sad service and plastic pieces in your beverage.
Jokes apart, do avoid the place. There are nice cafes and restaurants on MG Road and around which you can try.
