If you are planning to have a good meal, it definitely cannot start with a wait for over an hour, that too when you know it's a road side restaurant. You ask them to give you a call when a table gets free and prompt comes the response, "We dont do that!"
You wait for an hour get your hopes high (especially after reading netfoodie's review). Finally you get a table and ask for some thing to quench your thirst. Something cold deinitely, tried the much hyped Jal jeera (again thanks to netfoodie). I'm not sure if I didn't like it because it was not cold, or because of the waiters response when I asked for some ice...
I decided to not let that spoil the evening and move on. Move on we did to the next hyped dish, the Achari Chicken. We also ordered the Adraki chicken and a Dal with it. But there seemed to be very little achar in the Achari and not much of adrak either in Adraki. The Dal doesnt even deserve a mention.
Well, what the hell, maybe the deserts would be good. I wish I had killed me myself instead of giving that privelege to the chef. Too sweet is all I have to say for the Gajrella. We were four of us, and thankfully we had ordered only two, which we still were not able to finish.
This place is in no way cheap. It is moderately priced. You will definitely get better north indian food elsewhere at these prices. For your own sake stay away from here! or maybe you may want to try when you feel like having something bland.
