Infinitea has been recently renovated .
Went back recently , gone is the yellow and orange. hip cafe look A more sophisticated , woodsy feel now . Growing up, it seems. And the airconditioning in the double height restaurant now really works. Nice .
No dramatic menu changes. Chef stays. Food is just as good as before . Service as usual is patient , warm, well meaning but trifle piecemeal.
Try the Hawaiin salad - its fantastic, fresh, julienned pineapple and chicken with fresh basil in a tangy thousand island dressing . Served with a side of iceberg lettuce and bell peppers. Order the crisp , buttery garlic bread to go with it . Ahh excellent .
Ordered the Chicken Sicilian , very nice. Asparagus, white sauce and a crispy cheese crust cover succulent chicken.
All the rest of it , Mediteraanean Chicken , Chicken with Sundried Tomatoes in Basil Rice , and Greek Fish are staples that will always rule. Vegetarian food is good too. The teas, and the Tiramisu is lovely as always .
As the owner came in and chatted with us , he felt that the trick was - the ingredients are fresh , and of the highest quality , and yes, you are right, he eats there .
A meal for 2 , a starter , two entrees , ice tea, no dessert , could be Rs 700 or so . Irritatingly, they do not accept Diners or Amex cards.
