After a casual c.p stroll, with rumbling stomachs, we spotted a white board that was subtly beckoning us. "White Waters" written in inviting letters. Decision made. White waters has our evening.
The restaurant is on the first floor. As you climb wooden stairs, you do get the calm and relaxed vibe that was aimed at. Its simple yet classy. Right where the stairs finished, was a board with beer bucket offers written in chalk. Inviting offers and it actually helps if you know the offers before actually stepping in the restaurant. Can be that little thing that makes you look forward to something or can be a decision maker for you when finalizing a place.
Step in and you will almost feel a rush of great ambiance hitting you. Towards your west is the bar and the stairs to the terrace area. Right in front of us was a semi separated area which was probably the hookah space.
Halfway up the stairs is a little balcony type special area for two. Interesting placement of this area. Might try this next time.
We mortals sat in the middle. Near our reservoir of beer and ordered a Tuborg bucket: 5 pints for 699 if I remember correctly. Not bad. Another win for white waters.
I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich. Oh boy! 4 double decker chicken sandwiches served with French fries. It was a gargantuan task finishing it but greed got the better of me and eventually I did.
After sometime we decided to shift to the terrace area. White chairs and tables, overlooking a great view of c.p. Its right in middle of the hussle of c.p yet offers you some escape. Great place for catching up with friends when the Delhi weather allows you this luxury.
Apart from great food and ambiance. A very special thanks to the staff who served us ruffians with a huge smile. We bugged them a lot because of poor decisions making skills of some of us: recommend, change, repeat. And they never seemed irritated. Kudos!
The tipping scale for us to finally fall in love with this place were the songs. I can't begin to tell you how well the selection went with the entire feel of the place. Thank you white waters for not playing the usual Honey Singh songs that you can hear every where around in Delhi. be it cars or autos. No offense to anyone's personal preference here.
Basically, with rains outside, great songs inside and a great restaurant, our evening was a hit.
P.S: We spent 3 hours here and not once did the staff give us dirty looks.
Burrp Intensity: 10/10
