Decent Party Hall

I was at this place for a meeting sometime back and we had a buffet from the restaurant for lunch. The meeting was held at the party hall which was big enough to accommodate more than a hundred people and we were served buffet in the same room. The buffet consisted mainly of North and South Indian dishes and Chinese. The food was good but a bit spicy. The naan was not up to the mark, and also the gobi manchurian was chewy. The rice items were good and we were served a half melted ice-cream to finish things off.
Overall, it was a decent enough place to host meetings.

VFM - 3/5
Food - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambiance - 4/5

Banquet Hall - Excellent Service

We had a baby shower ceremony in Regale Multicuisine Banquet AC Hall. The service and the valaikappu food was awesome.

The hotel owner Mr Deverajan and Manager Mr Jaishankar was so kind and provided all the facilities.

It is definitely a good banquet hall for functions like Birthday & Baby shower cermony.

A south Indian "Multi-cuisine"

Being just 5 minutes away from our campus, thought of paying a visit once and I regret that thought. soups, starters, Main course---- north Indian, Chinese..... Whatever be the item, whatever be the cuisine it has that typical chettinad touch. Sheer lack in authenticity. Think twice before visting this place

I forgot what multicuisine actually means after visiting this place.they have just north indian and south indian cuisine, their chinese is only in menu card unavailable on both times i went.

Coming the the restricted multi-cuisine, even that was not authentic.Every damn thing had south indian taste to it,north indian chinese whatever. They shud seriously consider renaming the restaurant

The good things are
- Pretty big one
- Service - the waiters are full of energy and at their feet.Makes us overlook other factors,
- ambiance - wifey liked a few wall hangings. I hated the furniture.not comfy at all.Dont dare look at the chair bfore u sit,the cushion seats are soo dirty.
- prices- not too high
- they had some buffet lunch packages veg-99, non veg-149. Sounded cool, shud try when home alone.

The food was actually not that bad I would have given 4/5 if it was a chettinad resturant. The prawn curry we had was BAD, the prawns were so hard and for a sec thought it was crab's shells. All the chicken n egg based dishes were upto the mark.

Wish the young enthu waiters served food stuff which they can be clear abt. Adding chilly sauce n vinegar does not make a dish chinese!!

A decent outing..

As i walked into the regale restaurant which had a pretty small welcoming door I imagined a cozy little place... surprise surprise..it was quite a big one.

Regale in velachery main road[close to castrol bikezone] can seat around 100+ people and the ambience was really good. The interiors were pleasant and kitchen almost out of sight[hate the ones which make us pass thru or sit across kitchens].

The waiters were well-groomed, really polite and friendly. Orders were taken pronto and the delivery of food to table was also quick, compared to the other restaurants i have been in velachery.

Though the waiters were good and friendly they had language issues,I could see many of the non-tamil customers struggling to interact.I myself had a slip, had asked for a less spicy soup, sadly the 'less' word did not register with the waiter and I ended up gulping down more water than the spicy soup.

The food was good, surely not 'intercontinental' variety as they claim. More of chettinad kinds. Even the north indian chicken gravies ordered had a distinct chettinad tinge.

The quantity and quality were as good as we can get in any mid-range restaurant.Pricing too was upto the normal mark, soups costing 80-95 and gravies in the 130+ bracket. The roti was too light but the butter naan was really good.

They had listed out some seafood in the menu but I did not have the apetite to test them out.The one major sour point was lack of hand bowls. The wash area was pretty far off and need to take a stroll.

Overall a good restaurant especially if you are going with family/friends.
