Date - 31st March 2013
Time - 11.30am
I walked in for the brunch/lunch today morning at 11.30am with my wife. This is a first time for my wife. Being a regular here since I entertain most of my business associates here over dinner, my regular steward showed her around the place. We finally picked a table for 4 with a fan right over the table considering the hot weather nowadays. We were waiting for 2 of our friends to join us as well, making us a party of 4.
A few minutes later, the hostess walks over to our table, menacingly.
She stands behind me, facing my wife and then asks my wife "Excuse me, but this table is reserved. So if you would get up and please..".
I was both amused and shocked at her rudeness and the awkwardness of the situation. Shocked at her rudeness because I wasn't sure if she just asked us to get up and leave or just move to a corner on the floor as she did not complete her sentence. And I say amused as well beacuse of the fact that there was absolutely nobody else but the 2 of us and the other stewards.
After this, the hostess just walked off without any remorse.
At this point, without saying a word, I just got up and left with my wife.
To understand what just happened, once we boarded our car, I called up the hostess to ask what just happened? I found her to be even more rude and curt on the phone. I told her that I dont understand why the rudeness and cold behavior. I tell her I am a regular and she says that does not matter. I tell her that I bring in groups of 10-15 people very often and she says "that is when I can expect a better experience" ?? Now I am wondering WTF??? She then went on to say that we just left for no reason and that she eas never rude. So i ask her if both of my wife and I were day-dreaming and lying about what just happened to which she says yes. This infuriated me to no end and I just hangup at this point.
Considering that I've been a regular and a patron here ever since you started, with the insult and humiliation doled out to me today in front of my wife, especially after raving about the ambience and the staff to her,
I just WONT risk bringing anybody here ever again, be it family, friends or business associates.
You have lost not just a regular customer, but also a patron as well.
A hostess is said to be one who receives and entertains guests. What you have got there is far from that definition of a hostess. I am disappointed that my first review for this joint is such a negative one, but I am not going to let this one fly either.
P.S - I bet that the hostess will scrap/flag this review as inappropriate/inaccurate or worse yet - a lie.
