Dangee Dums happens to be very close to my place of work and yet I've never had the opportunity to visit this place. This Sunday evening, after a dinner (hosted by the missus' best friend) we trooped over to Dangee Dums (Panjrapole) for some desserts. The wooden facade and the heavy door leads one into a veritable Ali Baba's cave of chocolaty delights. The designer cakes with fondant work displayed in the windows outside leave one mesmerized!
Once inside, I realized that the place is actually huge and tastefully done. With seating arrangements provided in a spacious fashion, one can easily spend an evening of sugary delights with friends in a relatively peaceful fashion.
Not being in a very hungry mood, we just ordered 2 pastries and 2 hot chocolate drinks. While I did not sample the pastries, the other members of our group happened to enjoy the cakes. The hot chocolate (hazelnut for me, caramel for the missus) were rich and hot. A decent proposition indeed! It's just the custom ordered cakes that are expensive. The food and desserts on the menu seem to be priced on a level at par with any other joint of the same nature. All-in-all, a place that we would definitely plan to visit again.
